Museum Attendant Andy Murkin is the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum Attendant. After obtaining a BA (Hons) in English and Linguistics from University College, London, Andy pursued careers in the Civil Service and in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teaching before coming to work in the Visitor Services Department at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. Since starting at the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum he has gained an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. Andy has been using his newly acquired knowledge in helping to prepare the Museum’s application for Accreditation, the new government scheme for recognising museums which work to professional standards.
