Museum Officers Andy Murkin is the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum Attendant. After obtaining a BA (Hons) in English and Linguistics from University College, London, Andy pursued careers in the Civil Service and in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teaching before coming to work in the Visitor Services Department at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. Since starting at the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum he has gained an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. Andy has been using his newly acquired knowledge in helping to prepare the Museum’s application for Accreditation, the new government scheme for recognising museums which work to professional standards.
Noel Muncey joined the Royal Anglian Regiment Museum as the Archivist in January 2008. He served with the 5th Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment in Peterborough and with the R.E.M.E. with 211RCZ Field Workshops. He is a wheelchair user and has gained various computer qualifications over the last few years which he hopes to put to good use within the museum. Over the last few years he has been actively involved in charity work both nationally and locally to Cambridge and has developed the Association website, including the online shop.
