Exhibit 5: Vikings in Afghanistan 2007 The 1st Battalion of The Royal Anglian Regiment - the 'Vikings' - were deployed to Afghanistan in March 2007. The Battalion went to Afghanistan with the 12th Mechanised Brigade, as part of Operation Herrick. They assumed full responsibility for the north part of Helmand Province, in the south of Afghanistan, in April 2007. Click here to view

In April 2005 the 1st Battalion of the Royal Anglian Regiment were deployed to southern Iraq. This exhibition shows the Battalion's four companies at work, relaxing and in training. Click on the images below to view each gallery.
